Balancing Tea for three Doshas
Tea of Peace
1,4 liter cold water
2 teaspoon grated ginger
4 whole cardamom
2 cinnamon sticks
8 whole cloves
1 slice of lemon
2 slices of orange
1 vanilla stick
Boil 20 minutes, let it cool down and add organic honey. Keep up the good spirit, so that your good thoughts are infused to the tea :)
HEALING SOUP
According to Ayurveda, the variation in the weather during the autumn and winter add to the Vata. People with the Vata body constitution are more affected by the cold than others. Warm soups and herbal teas are good for anyone, but especially for the Vata type people. Ginger and sweet pepper warm the body. The skin of Vata type person will dry in the autumn and winter, giving good reason to add cold pressed vegetable oils to the diet.
Carrot and ginger puree soup
1,5 liter water
500 grams carrots
1 onion
Small piece of ginger
Salt
Herbs
Peel and cut the carrots and onion into cubes. Add vegetables and salt into the water. Grate small piece of ginger and add it to the vegetables. Let it boil until carrots are soft, then puree the soup.
HEALTHY BREAKFAST
Do you want to start your days by taking care of yourself? The busyness and stress of the life today weaken the immune system and make the skin look older. People eat too much food that does not contain enough nutrition, which causes the brain to receive a message of hunger. This in turn leads to unhealthy eating. The Vitamin Morning Boost provides lactic acid bacteria, vitamins, fibres, and fatty acids, which are a treat to the stomach.
VITAMIN MORNING BOOST
1–2 dl soy yoghurt
1–2 tsp. berry powder
1 tbsp. fibre powder
1–2 tbsp.seed mix (E.g. sunflower, sesame, or pumpkin seeds)
1 tbsp. cold pressed linseed oil
(¼–½ tsp.wheat grass leaf powder)
You may also add goiji berries and cocoa beans (superfoods). Mix everything with the yoghurt, and enjoy. To ease your morning, you can prepare the Vitamin Morning Boost the previous evening and store it in the refrigerator. TIPS The seeds can be mixed and ground together beforehand. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. The seed powder is then easy to measure out to the yoghurt. You can also try mixing various berry powders together and storing them similarly to the ground seeds.
A CLOSER LOOK AT THE CONTENTS OF THE VITAMIN MORNING BOOST
Soy yoghurt is a good source of calcium and beneficial lactic acid bacteria. For many people, soy yoghurt is more stomach-friendly than milk-based yoghurt. You can also use regular yoghurt.
One teaspoon of berry powder corresponds to approximately one decilitre of fresh berries. The berry powder contains all the same vitamins, fibres, and fatty acids as fresh berries. Ground seeds can be fully utilized, whereas whole seeds cannot be digested. When making berry powder, the seeds, skin, and pulp of the berries are dried and ground together.
Consuming fibres reduces constipation and the risk of cancer. Fibres also help sugar and poisonous substances from the bowel system. In addition, fibres remove cholesterol, assisting in weight control and improving blood pressure. If you are not used to fibres in your diet, add them gradually.
The recommended amount of fibres for women is 25 g and for men 35 g per day. This amount can be gained from nine portions of fruits and vegetables.
Seeds contain fibres, beneficial fatty acids, and calcium, and are an excellent source of protein. For example, the sunflower seeds contain vitamins A, B, D, and E and minerals zinc, iron, lime, manganese, selenium, potassium, as well as amino acids.
People need essential fatty acids, because the healthy fats have a beneficial effect on the functioning of the brain. Make sure that you use cold pressed oil. Olive oil contains plenty of antioxidants and linseed oil is a good source of omega 3 fatty acids, which are difficult to get, unless you eat fish every day. Linseed oil cares for your skin and improves your immune system.
Wheat grass leaf powder contains vitamins, micronutrients, and minerals in a natural form. It is an excellent source of chlorophyll and enzymes. Thanks to its alkalinity, it reduces excess acidity. Wheat germ cleanses your system and enhances the beneficial bacteria in the intestines.
